Before Dan Murphy’s there was Daniel Francis Murphy… but not many people knew that. So to remind Aussies about the larger-than-life character we created a series of ads retelling some of some his greatest stories (with a sprinkle of movie magic exaggeration). The main message hopefully being like the original Dan, Dan Murphy’s stops at nothing to get Australian’s drinking that little bit better.

Our over-indulgent 81 second version of the film that was cut down to 3x30s, 3x15s, and couple of 6s.

To create more social assets I broke out a 3D film camera and shot behind the photographer to great these moving images. This effect not only gave us a lot more stretch on social but created something that felt more authentic for the platform as what we shot was what we got.

One year later…

We brought everyone back to create a Christmas special of the Dan Murphy story.
